- Stage 1. Document Collection by Applicants. The following documents must be gathered:

- Birth certificate (for all family members);
- CV (for the main applicant and spouse);
- Employer's letter;
- Valid driving licence: colour copy (for all family members);
- Certified copies of higher or secondary education diplomas (for all family members);
- Marriage certificate, certificate of name change;
- Certificates of No Criminal Record from the country of birth, residence, and citizenship (if different), for any country where the applicant or family member have resided for at least 1 year within the last 10 years (for all family members over 16 years old);
- Medical form, certified by a doctor (for all family members).
- Passport-size photographs (8 pieces) (for all family members);
- Bank statement from an internationally recognised bank for the last 6 months (main applicant);
- Reference letter from an internationally recognised bank (main applicant);
- Proof of address (utility bill for the current address) (main applicant).
- Stage 2. Signing an agreement with an agency accredited by the Government of Sao Tome and Principe.
- Stage 3. Submission of the full document sets for consideration. Conducting of Due Diligence by the Sao Tome and Principe Investment Unit (CBIU). Issuance of approval.
- Stage 4. Payment of the contribution.
- Stage 5. Applicants receive passports and certificates of citizenship.
